Why pay-what-it’s-worth?
Casa Inspect is what I use every day to run my own properties — keeping it free for everyone is the point, not a temporary loss-leader. The contribution exists because running this product isn’t free for me. If enough operators kick in fair amounts, Casa Inspect funds itself. If they don’t, I’m still running it because I need it for my own places.
Pay $0 with no guilt. Pay $9 if Casa Inspect roughly covers its own costs at your scale. Pay $50 if it’s saved you a 2 AM phone call this month and you want to make sure it sticks around. All three of those are honest answers.
Will the free tier go away?
No. Free is the product, not a marketing funnel. There’s no plan to gate features, retire the free tier, or surprise anyone with a price hike. The voluntary contribution stays voluntary. If costs ever genuinely outrun what voluntary support covers, I’d add an opt-in high-volume SMS tier for power users — that wouldn’t touch anyone using Casa Inspect casually.
How does the contribution work?
You can sign up and use Casa Inspect today without picking a contribution amount. When the contribution flow is wired up (coming soon), you’ll set your monthly amount in Settings — anywhere from $0 to $50. Change it anytime, no cancel-fee, no haggling.
